Tri-tip Crostinis
This is a tasty and easy appetizer using Spicy Vines Espresso BBQ Rub, a coffee based, aromatic and peppery rub that pairs well with a robust red wine with notes of dark fruit, coco or spice. To read about our proprietary rubs and seasonings, learn more.
COOKING TIME: 30 minutes
PAIRED WINES: ”Rita’s Red” Red Blend
INGREDIENTS:
Baguette slices
Thinly sliced tri-tip, cooked with Spicy Vines Espresso BBQ Rub
Horseradish sauce of choice
Caramelized onions
Arugula
Bleu cheese crumbles
Balsamic glaze for drizzling
DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice baguettes about 1/2” thick; brush with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with Espresso BBQ Rub. Lightly toast in the oven and allow to cool.
2. Assemble the crostini with horseradish sauce, tri-tip slices, arugula, caramelized onions, balsamic glaze, bleu cheese crumbles. Sprinkle with a little extra Espresso BBQ Rub if desired.
