Sara’s Sultry Affair
Ernest Hemingway was an American author, adventurer, and famous for his exploits as well as his journalistic skills. Our favorite rum, Papa’s Pilar Rum, is named after him, so we took a cue and named this scandalous cocktail after Sara Murphey. Sara was the wife of Ernest Hemingway’s friend Gerald Murphey, and the paramour of Ernest Hemingway.
This cocktail is sweet, strong, enticing, and will knock you off your feet.
2 oz Spicy Vines Spiced Wine Original Blend
2 oz Papa’s Pilar Dark Rum
1/2 oz dark chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz heavy cream
Float Chambord
Chocolate shavings
Raspberry
Shake Spicy Vines wine, Papa’s Pilar rum, dark chocolate liqueur, and cream in a shaker with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass, float with Chambord, and garnish with chocolate shavings and a raspberry.
