Nouveau Pinot Noir, 2016 Russian River (Nouveau Beaujolais Style)

Our take on a traditional nouveau style wine celebrating the end of our 2016 harvest and the first red wine release of the vintage. Beaujolais nouveau is traditionally a red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is the most popular vin de primeur, fermented for just a few weeks before being released for sale on the third Thursday of November called, "Beaujolais Nouveau Day."

This is a very limited production. Only 28 cases produced, which will be allocated to wine club members first. Futures of the 2016 Peter's Delight Pinot Noir at 30% off will be available to those who purchase a bottle of the Nouveau Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes

This nouveau Pinot Noir exudes a delightful youthfulness with its vibrant color and flavors of fresh cherry, cranberry, pomegranate and cola. Intended for immediate drinking, "Salute!".

Production Notes

Limited availability. Only 28 cases produced.

Winemaker Notes

Beaujolais nouveau is a purple-pink wine reflecting its youth, bottled only one month after harvest after fermentation was over. This Pinot Noir saw no barrel and was bottled unfiltered.

Cooperage Notes

No Oak, unfiltered, lees are good!!!
