This rich wine bursts with blueberry, blackberry and boysenberry flavors, followed by hints of toasty oak and vanilla. This is truly an exceptional wine that tastes like "blueberry pie being squished in your face."

Tasting Notes

A rich and thick wine, that is also silky and soft like a velvet curtain. This wine was the very first yield off the small "patio block" vineyard on Pine Mountain. Great color and richness yield flavors of blueberries, blueberries, and more blueberries! You will also find some nice soft dark chocolate, black currant, and blackberries that are followed with a silkiness that hugs you from the inside.

Winemaker Notes

Pine Mountain Vineyards sits on the upper western flank of Pine Mountain, at an elevation 0f 2,200 to 2,800 feet. The high elevation farming reliably deliver fruit intense in color and flavor. The micro-climate of the vineyard exhibits all the characteristics associated with high-elevation viticulture. These include cooler daytime and warmer nighttime temperatures than in the valley, longer sunlight hours, and cooling oceanic breezes. Ideal for Petite Verdot of great character.
