2016 Violet Rose, Dry Creek Valley Rosé
This wine is a tribute to our winemaker’s grandmother, Violet Rose Hackett. A dry rosé featuring yummy flavors of pink grapefruit, cherry and hints of raspberry. An old vine field blend of four different varietals from Burnett Vineyard. As “Ma” would say, “Sláinte!”
Saignee after 8 hours cold soaking. Ten week cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks. 66% aged for 6 months in neutral Pinot Noir barrels, then blended back with the 34% left in stainless prior to bottling.
