2015 Morning Song Petite Sirah Dry Creek Valley

(Wine Club Exclusive Release)

GOLD MEDAL - 2018 Sonoma County Harvest Fair

90 points - Robert Parker, August 2018

There is nothing petite about this Petite Sirah! A full-bodied and deeply complex wine with blueberry and blackberry pie flavors and a silky inky finish.

Tasting Notes

This wine features flavors of blueberry pie and blackberry cobbler that burst on your palate and is followed by notes of cherry cola and root beer. The wine is very dark and inky and finishes nicely with a little exotic wood spices.

Production Notes

100% Petite Sirah.

Winemaker Notes

We we very lucky get get the last fruit off of this block of Morningsong Vineyards in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County before the vineyard was replaced, sadly. Very low yields and small berries equals intense fruit and color in this wine, which is for those who like their red wine dark and chewy!

Cooperage Notes

Aged for 26 months in both French and American oak barrels, 50% new.
